I've grown to like this guy and his efforts with traditional guns. Here he takes a nice doe with a smoothbore fowler and a patched .590 ball.

Guys really don't know what they're missing not shooting or hunting with flintlock weapons.....Not until they try one!
To me, it's almost like bow hunting.... But with a Bang!
Keeps things up close and personal...
And they're a lot of fun too shoot at longer distances as well!
My favorite target is the Kings Mountain target like the one at Friendship...
120 yards or so , up hilll. Body hits count a 5 , head's a 10!
Starting with your gun loaded & fire as many shots at the target as possible in the allotted 5 minute timeframe...if my memory serves
me correctly......lol

He was hunting nice property that's loaded with deer.
That helps to soften the disappointment of the missed shots.
