One of the does I shot yesterday had a yellow solid waxy looking substance protruding from her fluffy kittens. Anyone have any idea what it could be? Sorry to be so gross.....
My dad shot one with the same thing. I know cows have a discharge when "ready" but I don't know for sure about deer. Wouldn't surprise me if they did though.
Agreed, let the doe walk this time of year. Why remove the best buck bait in the area? Most likely a doe in estrous ready to bring the big bucks in to chase her all around your stand. Maybe you can just remove that part and hang it in a tree like tinks. Just joking or am I. Mostly why i don't really shoot doe's this time of year. Always thinking big boy might be following.
Yep, I have a blind with a sign in it "bucks only". Lose the does and you'll lose the bucks. Take the does at the end of the season.Agreed, let the doe walk this time of year. Why remove the best buck bait in the area?
