Food Plots Just waiting on rain

I use pokeweed usage in August as a good "indicator plant" of deer food resource availability. If resources are limited in August, most of the pokeweed will show heavy browsing.

The younger poke weed that came up around edge of the buckwheat plots is what I noticed the deer had eaten the leaves off of....down to the stalk...the bigger mature pokeweed wasn't really touched much....but they like that young stuff.
