Re: Jim Carrey: Gun Owners "Heartless MF'ers"

Has nothing to do with wealth and everything to do with Hollywood liberalism.

The problem is, what will we all do about it. In a few months he'll be out in a new movie and a lot of general forums on hunting sites will have a thread about his new movie being soooooo funny.

Our sides problem is we have NO 'stick-to-it-tiveness'. We never fight fire with fire. THAT'S how we have lost our country. I mean... saving the country is just so inconvenient for us.

That's weird, because Carrey is usually regarded as such a savvy political commentator with his finger on the pulse of the American people.

My plan is to let people like this NOT affect me or my life and garner NONE of my attention. When you pay these people attention, you do exactly what they want and give them the attention that they crave....

Just a thought here, but many of these actors and people that YOU pay attention to did not grow up like you and me, in a country/hunting family. Guns do not mean the same thing to them as they do to you and me. We associate guns with hunting, sports, family and in some cases protection.

These people live in a totally different world. Many live inside gated communitites and when they go out, they have drivers and bodyguards....Not all but many grew up in the inner cities where guns rang out every single day and people died as well.

The majority of the people voicing their desire for gun control are not from hunting backgrounds. They grew up in areas where guns were indeed used for crimes and that's the only thing they have to go on where you and I grew up in hunting environments and sharing family times in gun sports and thusly don't feel the same way as they do.

Both sides are looking at this from one point of view (their own) and thusly will never agree on a solution.

Again, my plan is to not get all angry and stirred up by what people say. They have the right to say whatever they want, as do you and I. Again, when you pay attention to them, they win. If it makes you feel better to not go see one of their movies, then feel free to not do so. I assure you that there are plenty more celebs out there that have other trains of thought that you may indeed not agree with, so why not stop going to all movies and stop buying music or any other thing that celebs put out there...??

Actually, I bet if you looked hard enough you could find a reason to boycott most anything these days....enjoy!

BH - You hit the Nail on the Head! They have The Right!
The right to speak out to the nation - or the Ability or Opportunity, has been given to Hollywood and Politicians. The common person has very little opportunity to speak to the nation via TV etc. One of things that would have happened a hundred yrs ago, that I MISS, is that people like Carrey speaking out in an idiotic manner would have had the living s7it kicked out of them and they'd have gone home rethinking whether or not their idiotic viewpoints should be announced on TV anymore. Today, as with most all other criminals, they are protected by our very flawed system of laws. I WISH I could go a day without the Sickness of this nation making me mad - but I cannot.

And THAT is the main reason he's running around doing stuff like this.

His career has been going down hill for the last few years, he's making less and less every year. Now we can help him along by either spending our money on him or boycotting him, OUR CHOICE.

Never forget this. Who attacked who first???

Did Carrey attack gun owners, the NRA and Chalton Heston or did we attack him first?? As gun owners we simply RESPONED to what Carrey did against gun owners FIRST.

Others support him and defend him because they also agree with his views. First we the gun owners are the bad guys for wanting to boycott anybody with a different view. Next the excuses start for poor old Carrey being raised different than gun owners. So the mean bad gun owners need to back off Carrey and anybody else that disagrees with them. Remember THEY are protected by the FIRST AMENDMENT so they have a RIGHT to attack the Second Amendment.

Of course Mr. Carrey never goes anywhere in public WITHOUT armed security guards. Wonder why?

I'd say because he's a hypocrit, and as with most anti-gun celebrities, this is more about money or control than guns or crime. In the case of Carrey, he's wanting to control our thoughts just enough that we go watch some of his movies, which will make him money. He personally isn't effected by the gun control issue, as celebrities and the elite will always have their armed guards. Same can be said for Bloomberg and other hypocrits.

Don't forget the other hypocrits that believe and support them. The ones that own guns and support more gun control.
