It's only been dark an hour here in West TN, and I am already getting sleepy. 😳 I didn't do anything strenuous today, and slept good last night. Normally, I'd say it's only 8:21, it's time to stay up and...do whatever. Play guitar, watch football, etc. And stay up til midnight. But for whatever reason, I could go to bed right now. Anyone else go through this?

(Maybe this is one of those things that happens as you get older)

Side story about sleep. I had been taking a banana with me to work to help with the loss of potassium from the BP meds I've been taking, but every day right at lunch I would become so sleepy and tired feeling that I would just have to lay my head down for a nap! I just read where bananas have not only potassium in them, but also melatonin! No wonder I was getting even sleepier! So, I started eating the banana before bedtime and I have been sleeping a little better thru the night now, and less sleepy during the day. :)

I've been waking up around 4:30 but I think that's my body getting ready for deer season. I wear a fit bit to bed and that analyzes my sleep patterns. I should be able to tell if I'm starting a dangerous trend I should talk with the doctor about. So far, so good, thank the Lord.

No matter what time of year my body clock goes into "need to sleep" mode 2.5 hours after it gets dark. In the summer that can be 11 pm, but as the fall/winter roll around it may be as early as 7:30 pm.
It can be a problem but I just work through it the best I can.
