Almost all the buck rubs I seen before were vertical scrapes in the bark. The vast majority of these marks are horizontal and low to the ground. This tree is roughly 14 inches in diameter. There are other trees marked like this on my property but all are on smaller trees.
What say you experts?

That's beaver, you should see many more, some actually chewed all the way through, slides into a beaver pond is near...
