It appears to be Carlon or the generic version, so yes it is plastic as is that clamp. All nonconductive.

Irrational fears in grown men are funny. Mine is wasps. I'll take a dozen snakes in my house over one wasp. 🤣

Lol I actually dont mind snakes so much as long as they're not venomous. Spiders, on the other hand.....
