I need the help from you guys on this. I am looking to put in about a 1 acre food plot that has partial to full Sun. I know I'm late on getting this in but i need to try something. What will come in within the next month or so to allow the deer to discover this food source? Also if possible i would like this crop to last through mid November? I've never done a food plot so simplicity is welcome. Thanks guys.

Small plot and lasting through mid-Nov is an issue. I see the best option as planting a Summer annual like buckwheat or a summer annual mixture and then replanting a fall Mix in Septemberish timeframe.

Wheat/oats for fall. Turnips and sugar beets for winter. Did a commercial mix of beets and tubers to test this past winter. I saw deer walk past red oaks to dig up the tubers.

I would plant some type of millet for this late spring and summer, then in September plant wheat and rape in there.

For fall plot, I would go with Bob oats, clover (red and arrowleaf), radishes. Wouldn't plant any Rye unless it was a cereal Rye
