Just a quick rant, I can not wait for all of the guns/ammo ordeal to fall back some. Correct me if I am wrong, but I've been told the "assult weapons" ban is being removed from the bill.
I can't wait till it settles either back to normal, or just even a touch over what prices used to be. I hate seeing and hearing other people talk about seeing prices. And yes yes, I know, its all supply and demand. Supply is low. Demand is through the roof with the scare and all the new shooters. I understand this. But still doesnt change the fact it is getting old.
And the Number one thing that gets me is someone asking $1.00+ a round for .223/5.56, $60 bucks and higher for 500 round of .22lr, and $1,000 dollars for guns worth 3-4 hundred less than that, and saying at the end, "Get this while you can" Back to my second sentence, Correct me if I am wrong, but I've been told the "assult weapons" ban is being removed from the bill.

On a side note, just days away from my little boy to be welcomed into this world!

I'm guessing you are many months away from seeing a decent supply of ammo on the shelves. And, I really doubt that prices will ever get back down to last summer's level.

Removing the assault weapons from the dem's bill is going to do little to get ammo back on the shelves.

Justin, good luck with the little one. I have a feeling that soon after he's born, you won't have time to worry about the prices of ammo and guns. I've almost got you a box of flies tied up. We'll hit the park whenever you're able in April.

True, but most people started "hoarding" for a lack of better terms, ammo for weapons that would be included in the ban. I could be wrong in my thinking, but I figured if the gun/magazine part was over, then slowly ammo would start showing back up. I figured 6 months to a year.

And as far as prices on the ammo, its indiviuals, and small shops selling high dollar. Walmart, Dicks, and other places are still right on spot on prices. Gander Mtn and Bass pro have raised some. but not near as much as Individuals. Other places are small shops looking to make a bigger profit at one time, and as far as im concerned, theyve lost my business.

Buzz, thank you. I can not wait till he gets here. He's my first, and I'm excited and nervous lol.
And thank you again for tying the flies, if you want anything for them, just let me know.

I'm with ya in the ammo hoarders. I have been trying to get 1 box of 9mm hollow points for a month now. I called the local gun store this morning and they said yes. We have some. Well I waited till 2 when I was already going to be headed that way and someone came in and got all of it. All I want is 1 dang box!!!! It's getting old quickly

oh 2shot I know, I just want to get to shoot. I get a few new guns right before all this happened, did not get ammo, thinking, i'll save and get later on. Now I have a .40, a 9mm, and a Olympic Arms AR15 that I can't even run a few shots through any of them!

About a year ago, I said something about not worrying about a gun ban, it will be ammo you can't afford. Sometimes I hate it when I an right.

Hard to get around the second ammendment. but that does not cover ammo.

I remember that and remember thinking that would be very clever - I believe you're dead on there. I'm not an extremist but I think several make light of this; and its not, nor has it ever been, JUST about ammo and AR-15s. They have been way too public about a lot of this which makes me worry about what they are REALLY doing behind the scenes.

This is the scary truth. But still, the enemy of our Constitution will not wane in their attempt to rid the people of the means to protect themselves from their anti Constitutional attack. Again, this is not about hunting or target shooting, its about the Constitutional right to keep and bear arms, to be able to guard against a govt that oversteps its authority against the people. It is not over, and will most assuredly escalate, not decline.

Pic in the casa. I have to disagree to a point. If the shtf I don't think anyone will be prepared. Everyone has a plan till they get punched in the mouth. Especially just the ones buying up all the ammo. Most of it to be resold high dollar. There may be a few that would be ready. But not many
