I need some PFD advice.

I have been out of the water for several years. Bought a new boat and have to buy some life jackets. My old set up was a Mustang survival vest while on plane and a secondary waist belt (pull to inflate) while I was fishing from deck. Sold all my stuff 4 years ago. Now I need to replace all of it.

What are some good life jackets and waist belts? I have found several different brands that look interesting. What are you using this year?

The Mustang HIT life jackets are expensive but the most trusted of the autos. That being said the best life jacket is the one you will wear the most. Some people find different styles and brands to be more comfortable than others. It may take a little trial and error to find out what works best for you.

Waist belts are good for letting the EMS know where the body is IMO.

I wear a Mustang 100 mph vest while up on plane. I plan on buying the Mustang Elite HIT or MIT 100 to wear while fishing. The MIT appears to be coolest during hot weather. I have heard that both are very comfortable.
