I heard a call tonight about a car that hit a deer and it was still alive but badly hurt. well i called dispatch and told them i would love to have the deer that got hit by the car. The officer on scene put it down And now it's hanging up in my tree getting skinned and put in the freezer. I called dispatch back and thanked them for letting me go and get the deer.

But it looks like a yearling or maybe a 2 year old doe. but it should be good eating and i know what i'll have for dinner tomorrow night LOL

OMG...you might be a redneck if you use a police scanner to track down road kill. How po'dunk can you get? I am not into road kill, but if I was I sure wouldn't post anything bragging about it online. This is pretty darn sad.

Gotta pay for that scanner some how and when you figure average cost of beef at $4lb a nice 170lb deer saves ya some money

just scrap the gravel out and poof, ready to go on the bar-b

You should give the cops you number and have them put you on speed dial LOL

I've eaten roadkill before. :) My Father hit a 6 point buck and tore his car up pretty bad. The deer died close by so he threw it in the trunk and drove home. I cleaned it and cut it up that night. Car or bullet, what's the difference if it was just killed?

As long as the meat does not go bad or get tainted with urine then it's good to go. Aint got a thing to do with being a redneck or not, it's just a smart play.
