Idk. First shot was low left. Moved scope a little too much on second shot and third shot blew the primer out but it still hit pretty close.

Box has 31.99$ on it so I figure it's probably 20 years old but idk wtf.

No it wasn't even hard to open. Bullet hit within a couple inches where I was aiming also.

One other shell in the box has a little corrosion on it also so I guess it's older improperly stored ammo.

Snipers only zeroed their own rifle. See John Culbertson's ( USMC) books on a sniper in Viet Nam.

This is the exact reason why shooters should select the proper LEFT or RIGHT handed bolt action rifle. Glad you didnt get hurt. I know a fellow lefty who lost an eye sighting in a right hand bolt action rifle for a friend. And he was even wearing proper eye protection when it happened.

However, for the life of me never could understand why a hunter would ask someone else to sight in their rifle.

I have sighted in my brothers a couple of times, but never for anyone else. I have some 30-06 military surplus from the '60's that still looks factory new and never had an issue with it, but it was stored in sealed spam cans.

I enjoy sighting in other's rifles. I get to shoot on their dime, plus it's my range so I know a cow won't get shot if I'm the one pulling the trigger.
