Yes the incline was so steep it was a mix between a deer drag and a bear crawl. Lost the sole off of one of my boots in the progress.. he isnt my biggest buck but he is getting mounted bc of the story and memories associated with this buck. I think i celebrated harder when we got to the truck than i did when we found him.

I've had deer act that way from a muzzleloader. The bullet just doesn't have the shock as a high power round. It's more like an arrow with a boom attached. Congratulations on a real nice buck.
