A couple of weeks ago I noticed that my canoe was stolen from my yard, looked around and found that my Stihl chainsaw which was under my carport was stolen also. I didn't turn in on insurance because after deductable and possibility of insurance going up it just wasn't worth it. Leaving the house yesterday my wife told me to stop as we were going by my field beside my house where I used to keep my horses. I asked her what and she said "where is the jon boat?". It has always been on its trailer beside the barn but now just the trailer is there. I remember a couple of weeks ago we heard my dogs barking at night and went outside and thought I heard someone cough toward the field but shined lights that direction but didn't see anyone. Figured a deer made the noise and didn't think anymore about it. It was just an old jon boat but was left to me by my father when he passed. Are people stealing boats for the metal or what is the deal? The canoe wasn't worth much, neither was the jon boat but it was special to me. It's a shame I can't have anything without someone deciding they can just steal it out of my yard. Sorry, but had to vent.

Hate to hear it man.

I'm sure a month or two of probation will surely teach him though.

Hate it for ya man.. Dont matter how much $ they steal its always unnerving. I believe in karma.. If they fish out of the canoe or boat, hope something bad happens to them in it.

I was cleaning my car port out and had 15 fishing poles and a custom made rack under my car port and I live across the street from Merrol Hyde magnet school. This guy just came and backed down my driveway while my wife was home and I was at work and took all of my fishing poles and custom rack.
It just gets me people just decide "Hey that looks good, they can just buy something new"
It just gets to me SO bad people just decide to steal from people that work for what they have.

This is what I installed in my driveway after my trailer and two ATV's were stolen. No problems since.

I noticed this past weekend that my CD case was missing from my truck sitting in my driveway. It only had 15 or so CD's in it but it still pisses me off, I had a pair of ray bans in the truck but they did not touch them. I guess I will have to start locking my vehicles all the time.

The jon boat sat beside the barn which sits about 30 yards off the road, the field is fenced in. Pretty brave of someone to steal it as they would have been in open view of about 3 houses nearby. The chainsaw was not locked up in my building, just laying under the carport, my fault, but it's a shame that I can't have anything laying around anymore. I have been living at that location about 12 years and neither me or anyone else has had any problems until lately. Neighbor up the street had an old wringer ( if that is how you spell it ) washing maching and a 3 bottom plow stolen out of his yard about a month ago. I was brought up to respect other peoples stuff, some people just don't.

Your boat my motor 89's poles they're all set for a fishing trip! It's everywhere anything they can get a buck for and the way i feel is the people who buy the stuff from them should be held equally responsible!!

May not be popular but I firmly believe that deadly force should be legal for the protection of your home and property.

Nothing makes me madder.

I agree Ruger.... as long as crime pays and there is no real punishments handed out for deterrent, thieves won't think twice.
