I 40 West to Memphis - road conditions

Headed to Oxford, MS from Nashville to try my luck with deer there. Does anyone know how bad of ice there is on I 40 Nashville to Memphis? I plan to start from Brentwood by noon.

If anyone has (legal) items to transport, I can carry.

One lane half open, other lane solid ice at exit 60 mile marker

Mile marker 120 (I-40 westbound) was a disaster yesterday with a multi car and big rig pile up. They had to bring the National Guard in to help get the roads cleared, and were still working last night to my knowledge. I assume that area is back open, but would be nice if someone in the area chimed in to confirm or negate that. You may could call THP Jackson, TN office and get an official report.

I think that would be the best bet . I don’t think they got much down that way. Good Luck

We just drove from Spring Hill to Germantown. Except for a detour near Brownsville, it was fine.
