I've got the itch for a new backpack and am looking at the Badlands Superday Pack and Kuiu Venture 1800. Anybody with real world experience with them? Will be used for deer hunting so need decent storage in main compartment and the ability to strap extra clothes on. Don't want something tiny or large but middle of the road size wise.

I have used the Superday Pack for years and it works well! It holds most everything I need on 90% of my hunts. Usually strap heavy coat to the outside in colder weather. I added a couple of small Molle storage bags to the waist belt for flashlight, GPS, etc. so they are handy. Added another on the back for my lunch so it doesn't get squished.

I use a Military Surplus Molle II Medium Rucksack when it is really cold, and I need to carry more stuff. can be found on Ebay.

Just purchased the kuiu encounter divide 2300, pretty sweet, clam shell design for hauling meat or stands! My old backpack was the Dwight shut from cabelas...20 plus yrs old finally started ripping from carring salt and game cameras

I see the encounter divide 2800 so assume that's it. Good looking pack and especially if this saddle hunting works out how you can load it in there. I ordered the badlands super day pack but if I don't like it once it arrives may give this one a shot. Appreciate the suggestion.

I have been looking at the Mystery Ranch Metcalf 100. I know it's a good size of a backpack. But I need one for a 14 day spring bear hunt. I am new at picking a good pack.

Mystery ranch is a good company too, eberlestock makes a real good mobile type backpack(can't remember model) also the Badlands has alot to pick from too, kuiu and badlands has a lifetime warranty no sure if mystery ranch does

XOP Stryker pack. Bought one last year after Christmas and use it to carry my sticks (straps are underneath the pack) and my platform (straps on front of the pack). You could easily carry extra clothes using either of these two strap locations. Badlands has some really good packs as well but didnt want to spend that money on a pack even though their rangefinder/bino harness has been awesome and I've had it for 4-5 years now
