"Hunters" pushing for gun control.

They reported on Fox this morning that one of the things Bloomberg wants is a background check on buying AMMO and he says "hunters" support that.

This Ice Cream Man believes that the 2nd Amendment says exactly what it means. "A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a [size]free state[/size], the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed." I don't know how it could be said any clearer.

I'm glad that never happens. At least we know the people being robbed of their guns are law abiding Now if we could just do something that makes criminals obey the law and quit stealing from those who passed the background check, we'd be set

How is a background check going to identify who is and who is not a looney bird? Are the names of all the looney birds listed in a catalog somewhere?

You suppose the government has everyone's health records? How is the government going to know who is looney and who isn't? Do think the government is competent enough to maintain an accurate list of who is looney and who isn't? Who decides if someone is looney? What about looney people who never see a doctor? How does the government find out about them? Are you willing to relinquish your medical privacy rights so the government can have your records to decide if you're looney?

And, at what point did you become looney, before, or after an alleged offense? Even if on record with a mental health facility, and kept from purchashing firearms, which would be ideal, there are so many many more that are undiagnosed, or worse yet, diagnosed that have been let slip thru the cracks.
