With the push to move to modern tech (micro chips, high efficiency batteries) which requires these “rare earth” minerals in manufacturing and in use. Just how rare are they?
I read that there is little to no effort / efficient method to recycle. Considering the blinding pace we are moving towards being rare earth consumers just how long will they last before this new found tech is without necessary rare ingredients?

Not as long as fossil fuels.
Exactly.

And as the supply of these rare earth minerals gets smaller and more difficult to mine, their prices will just become much more expensive.

Note the word "mine".
These minerals are "mined" and "mined" in a very NON-GREEN process.

Truth is, our current use of fossil fuels is overall more "green" than the overall process of electric cars?

I'm not against electric cars.
Just against the deception being used to market them and everything labeled more "green".

They are called rare for a reason.

Rare

rarer; rarest
Synonyms of rare

1
: seldom occurring or found : UNCOMMON

2
a
:
marked by unusual quality, merit, or appeal : DISTINCTIVE
b
:
superlative or extreme of its kind

3
: marked by wide separation of component particles : THIN
rare air
My point
How long can it last…
Imagine the calamity!!!!
Render fossil fuels antiquated then run out of the replacement!!!!
We will all be fighting over Afghanistan and sifting goat turds out of the rare earths we need.

they are not calle rare earth elements because they are not plentiful. they were called that when they were discovered because they had never been seen before circa 1700's and named on the periodic table as such.

just like noble gases really dont hold nobolity titles in england.

they are fairly plentiful but extracting them is a beotch and nasty. thats why china produces so much because they care very little for polluting their ground and drinking water.

if they weaponize them, we will still be fine.

. . . . . extracting them is a beotch and nasty. thats why china produces so much because they care very little for polluting their ground and drinking water.

"Mining" them may become the fastest rising new criminal enterprise among the global elite?

Take a closer look at what's been happening in the Amazon.
This is not just about China.

Doesn't matter. Here is how it works. Monopoly control of a resource will keep that resource in use until it is no longer profitable. Profitability is maintained by restricting competition through Buying up competing tech and using political bribery and money laundering to protect your cartel.

Example: "green house gasses" is a made up emergency which allows bad policy to be made to extort and launder money on a scale so large that most people can't comprehend the theft. Policy restricting fossil fuels to "save the environment" drives up fossil fuel prices making them more profitable. This has opened up the demand for "rare earth elements" such as lithium for EV batteries. Lithium is literally dirt cheap at the source and is mined by slaves by hand. The government mandated distortions in market forces create massive mark ups throughout the production supply chain. Corporations enjoy Insane profit margins some of which are laundered back to the politicians who created legislation that created those profits.

I used to believe this type of thinking was tinfoil hat conspiracy theory. Then I did a deep dive and followed the money. I now think it's spot on.

This is not just about China.

its always about the chinese. they are like vampires, once you invite them in they will suck you dry.

india, brazil and china are the largest producers(refiners) but rare earths are plentiful in the earths crust. we have plenty of it here but the processing facilities went bankrupt because of cheap labor in china. same thing happened with Hemlock plant in clarksville that produced silicon metal.

"In the first two decades of the twenty-first century, China has grown in importance and influence for Latin American economies. This trend is visible in terms of not only expanding trade flows but also direct investment, infrastructure projects, and financing from Chinese banks."

Its not about saving the planet and all on it - its about controlling the planet and all on it so therefore everything and anything goes for the narrative and the NWO.

Hammer33 has nailed it!

Nor can "most people" comprehend the hypocrisy and profiteering of most "leader" type individuals pushing the "green" initiatives.

Al Gore & Barack Obama have now both made most their life's fortunes via pushing "green" initiatives. Yet both have multiple beachfront homes in areas they tell us should already be under water from the rising oceans. Both travel by private jet and "live large" having personal "carbon footprints" thousands of times larger than the average global citizen to whom they demand comply with their "green" initiatives.

Not just "corporations" by very corrupt individuals, some of whom do operative as a "corporation". In this case "cartel" is a more fitting word, better yet, "global criminal cabal" of world leaders.
