All I know is if you are STOOPID and have a cooler with beer in it in your boat on a twra lake the fine was $25 that and court cost was $239.50 total.

My boat, my cooler, not my beer.
My buddy took the ticket since it was his beer.
Well I guess it was technically my beer since I bought it 😂
He paid for steaks for my birthday party that night. I bought his beer lol

Crappy start to my birthday.

Yes I paid the ticket.
I'm all confused. He took the ticket, but didn't pay it so you had to?

He is not a fisherman.
He goes maybe twice a year.
I knew the rule but forgot. I don't drink when I fish, ever.
I grabbed the cooler with the beer in it because I didn't want to make a trip to my shop to get another one.
Threw my propels and water in it and took off.

Wasn't gonna make him pay for something he had no clue about.

Are you saying that they should get up to date, then go to court? Or get up to date, and present the evidence to a county clerk over there?
Get up to date, go to the clerks office, explain what happened and see what they say. Worst case, they wont throw it out and youll still have to go to court or pay the fine. Depending on how far away they live, if it were me, Id take my chances in court. It sounds like these boys TRIED to do right, that weighs pretty heavy around here.
Dont count on Travis Cowan not showing up. Hes new around here and aint got nothing else to do.
