Looking a little better for Sunday now.
But it's so dry now, I'm starting to worry about my ragweed plots.

You've got me beat. My place got 0.66" the day I planted in early June. Then a 0.08" and a 0.06" late in the month for a total of 0.80" for the month. Fescue in the region has turned brown and crunchy underfoot. I'll have to check out the Poplars. I did notice Hickories are dropping their nuts prematurely.0.31" of rain in June.... Two of my rain fed, bait fish ponds are almost dried up. I'm sure one will dry up this summer, I'm able to haul some water to the other one. My 2 acre, 13' deep pond in now 1.5 acres and only 8' deep.
Several trees tulip poplars are losing leaves already.
Way too early to be this dry.
Models are making West TN, west of KY Lake, look pretty bleak, even for all of this weekend. East of the lake, better chances.Hopefully, a good bit more than this will happen region wide during next 36 hours.
Would this be primarily due to "lake effect" considering the air is moving from west to east?East of the lake, better chances.
No, it's due to far West TN being more directly under the upper level High Pressure dome that is keeping us so dry.Would this be primarily due to "lake effect" considering the air is moving from west to east?
Almost zero precipitation west and south of Highway 22 (Martin to Lexington).Looks like West TN received more rainfall today than Western Middle TN?
How did that happen?
Was a lot more than zero along the west side of Tennessee River from Paducah to Hwy 22. Just weird how those thunderheads were forming, dropping rain, then mostly dissipating by the time they went much east beyond TN River.Almost zero precipitation west and south of Highway 22 (Martin to Lexington).
I was watching them on radar. They developed, saw my property, and quickly dissipated to make sure I didn't get any rain. Was a lot more than zero along the west side of Tennessee River from Paducah to Hwy 22.
