We created 2 new food plots this summer, both of course have trees piled up around them, thought it be great places for honey suckle, any ideas on how to get it started this spring, and I figure I will need to protect it for a while.

Just dig some up and transplant it. It is very hardy and needs little care.
You can also take cuttings now . Keep them in water for a few weeks till they root. Then put the cuttings in pots of dirt to grow for awhile.Keep em in a warm spot with alittle sunshine you'll have some real nice plants to put in the ground next spring.

Plant them in the brush piles. This will give the honeysuckle a "protected" place to grow, but the deer can eat the excess that grows above and outside of the brush piles.
