Honda Rancher Question?

Does the fuel knob under gas tank with the white end turn straight up for main tank.I sure dont want it turned to reserve tank all the time!

I have a rancher and foreman, but don't think either of them has a white end on the fuel shutoff valve. But, to turn the fuel on, I rotate the valve to the left (ccw) fully, pointer vertical. Fuel shutoff is with the valve dial pointed horizontally. Reserve, I turn the valve fully clockwise, to the right.

straight up is on ,horizontal is off,pointing down is reserve,1 gal book sez
