I have always had a runabout boat with an I/O engine, I have recently boat a 14 ft. Fiberglass boat with an old 1950s motor. The motor overall is in good shape however the throttle cable and another cable run on the outside portion of the engine. There is a plastic piece that goes on the end of the throttle cable near the outboard engine that is broke. Does the lever just move the throttle lever on the engine up and down. I am lost with an outboard. Help me out.
