Swapped from lowrance to hummingbird this year and I'm struggling with marking waypoints. For the last several years I have been using lowrance elite ti 9's and with their touch screens you can mark a waypoint anywhere on the screen. I like to use a 3 way split with map, side imaging and down imaging. With the lowrance, if I saw something on si or di I just tapped the spot and you could add a waypoint that easily. Now on the helix 9 when I use a similar split screen I can only move the cursor on the side imaging portion or the screen. The cursor will not drop down into the di portion of the screen. My current work around is to have a di dedicated shortcut button and toggle to it if I see something on di that doesn't show well on si.

Long way around to ask if there is a simple answer to getting the cursor into the di portion of the screen when running map, si, and di on a 3 way split screen.

I wish I could get someone to show me how to "go to" a waypoint. Can't figure it out for crap.

I've watched you tube videos that show that. I think you tap your cursor on the waypoint and then bring up a command box. I'll try to find you a video today

Heres a video, but i dont know anyone that uses the navigate to a waypoint feature. Most just zoom in and go to the waypoint icon, but you have to zoom in on your map to find it.Lots with live scope set there zoom to 100ft on there map and get use to finding there structure with livescope as they get closer to the waypoint icon.

I know how to toggle between screens but when there are 3 functions running it will only active pane left or right. Next time I'm on the water I'll try to post a video displaying my issue. Thank you for helping a tech Neanderthal.

Cursor to the waypoint, menu once and select "go to",from your graph...I think!
From i-pilot link remote, hit waypoint icons and it should pull up all within several yard radius. Select your mark and hit "go to"....within settings of your remote or system you can have it spotlock on the point or turn off the TM within "x" feet of it and not spotlock.

I have not had time this year to get on water with mine so I am a bit rusty and gonna have to hire Bluball to retrain me!!

I think this is in how you have your pane's set up as you mentioned making left or right active. Don't know that I have ever tried to make a 3rd pane active for marking and such.
I run dual bow units atleast so not to clutter one screen and can have mapping on one, and two imaging screens on the other.

Same here, only 2 panes to a screen on my boat.

I have 5 units in my boat ,2 humminbirds.I only run maping at the console and mega 360 at the bow on the other.I can try to set up a 3 panel screen tomorrow if i get time to see what your talking about on the 3 pane view.

I have 4 units on mine. Helix 12 MSI and Lowrance HDS at console and Helix 12 and Garmin at bow. Have a 360 and turret for livescope. YouTube is your best friend on that type stuff. I typically run Lowrance on chart/down scan with Helix on side scan. Lake master is really good on the TN River but Navionics is better on some of the lakes around home. Never tried to mark waypoints on a 3 way split screen though.
