The regulation requires all big game to be checked in before leaving the state, being gifted to another, or before the end of the calendar day.
If it is taken to a taxidermist or processor, proof of check-in must accompany it on an approved TWRA form. The Harvest Log is such a form, as are the POS and screen prints of the check in, or the electronic harvest log on a smart phone.
