Had to put a Deer down

Heading back to the office today from lunch I noticed a deer laying in the middle of a field. I thought it was strange it was laying out in the open in the middle of the day, with it's head up looking around. I pulled out in the field and evidently it had been hit or injured somehow anyway. When I pulled out there it had a broke back and couldn't get up. So I called twra and they said they would appreciate it if I would go ahead and shoot it so it wouldn't lay and suffer till coyotes got it. It was a small little fella last years deer.

Didn't want it to lay there and suffer, glad I just happened to notice it out there.

It has to be done sometimes. Same question as catman, did you keep it from going to waste and keep some meat?

Attaboy. I can't stand to see anything suffer. If I'm laying out in a field with the same injuries I would hope someone would put me out of my misery.
