Had a good day Saturday at Glenn Springs

Had to work Saturday until 1 pm, but my boat stays at work in the shop, so I called the wife and had her meet me at work with the boys when I got off and we headed to Glenn Springs. We had a pretty breezy south wind blowing right to one of my favorite places on the lake, and I figured I'd be able to catch em pretty good on a rattletrap on this wind blown flat. It was a blast for sure! It was the first time on the boat for my 3 yr old so he was pretty excited when I started catching em.

Does Glenn Springs still have those big ole fat juicy bluegill and shellcrackers? Its been 15+ years since I fished that lake.

Nope. Didn't see any crappie fishermen near me. Everyone I saw was bass fishing.

And that's the difference between someone who knows how to fish that lake, and the rest of us. If I had written that report, it likely would have said "went to Glenn Springs and caught 2 little bream and a 10-inch bass."

I've rarely done that well out there. The lake is a lot different than other West TN lakes, and my lack of experience with deep clear water shows.

My dad went out there on Monday and caught 3 crappie that were just barely legal, and a few more he had to throw back. He said that only one other guy had caught anything (of all the people he talked to).
