To eat I prefer Crappie out of Reelfoot lake over all others mainly because of the smaller size we can keep, I would take a 9" fish every time over say a 14" fish.

But now I like catching them big Mississippi slabs 10 to 1 over a 9" fish.

Agree 100% love catching big ones but much prefer the small crispy fillets myself!

Back in from Grenada, wound up with 46 keepers for the 3 days. really about 3 half days, the wind blew us off the lake every afternoon.

Big fish was 2 lb - 5 oz. had another 2-4 several in the 2 lb range.

Went to the Crappie master weigh in both afternoon. two teams from Dyersburg where in the top 3 after the first day and took I think 3rd and 6th after Saturday, My neighbor was on the teem that came in 3rd and they missed first place by .06 tenths of an oz.

Had a great time even if the wind did blow!
