I took a 22 bullet in my leg one night, trying to break up a bar room fight, went home, dug it out with my old case knife.
On Too Close to Home, this line makes me smile every time:
At a rest stop just off 40 East
I pulled out to get some sleep
I seen some little kids
Were playing some ball
I woke up when a fly ball hit my hood
A little kid on the playground
Hit it too good
I said enough's enough
I had to give you a call

Is that off his newest album? I don't have that one yet but I need to order it. The very first Chris Knight song I heard was "down the river" and it literally sent chills down my spine. See, Ive got 2 sons and the youngest one, about 20ish at the time, had left that CD in my player while he had my truck borrowed.

So many great ones here. Loved me some Ricky Van Shelton, Simple Man. When the wife and I were dating, I said listen to this song and you'll know everything about me.
