So did you lose 3 but still counted them towards your limits? Commendable if so.

Yes, we lost 3 cripples, we counted those.
We always chase them with the boat, but divers get away sometimes.
Them being as ethical as they are is a huge bonus, my son got hooked up with them a few years ago, and got me in on the group this year. Fine bunch.

Sounds like it. Where dilgent efforts are made at recovery, I've never known anybody who counted lost bird towards their limit. Myself included. Hat's off.

I don't like them... Remember, divers eat off the bottom. stay with puddle ducks (mallards and Wood ducks IMO are the best)

Way to whack em and stack em. That was a fun hunt for sure.

What area of the state were you hunting? Never personally killed a bufflehead in the Barkley Lake to Springville bottoms area.
