After many years with the Remington in-line .50 cal POS (which I've never been that satisfied with), I'm going to go back to my .50 cal T/C Renagade sidelock. Love the set triggers and I've had a T/C rear peep sight on it. I used to use the .385 gr Buffalo Bullet but saw the T/C MaxiHunter @ .350 gr in Wallyworld. Any opinions on the Maxihunter compared to the Buffalo bullet?

I used the Maxihunter for several years and it worked well. My dad tried the buffalo bullet and it grouped about the same as the Maxihunter. He continued to shoot the maxi because there were three others in camp that all had the same set up so we knew if one forgot something another had it and the maxis were more easy to find (ie Wally World).

I used a T/C Renagade for many years and was very satisfied with its permormance. I used the 385 grain Great Plains bullets and shot some very large holes thru deer. I got caught up in the inline MZ madness and traded that rifle. Really wish I had kept it.

As far as conicals go, I've had great results with Hornady Great Plains bullets. Used the the 410 gr flat point last season. I got a new inline this year and played around with the 385 gr hollow point some at the range. It's showing promise.
