Nothing to really get ready for. These forecasts are generally exaggerated. I live in rural West Tennessee. What ever ice or snow we get is not going to be out there for weeks. If you lose power for a few days, that is not life threatening for most people in these temperatures. Relax ... don't look for things to stress out about. Try to enjoy it. If nothing electric works for a couple of days and you don't drive, that could be a good time. Reflect on what really matters to you.

I made the drive into West Memphis from Tipton County. Wrecks at every overpass on Hwy 14 but the roads were fine. Was going to duck hunt but had to be in the office at 8:30. Hopefully I can sneak out in time to bust a few in the last day.

It got REAL close to Bad Ugly here! The temp hovered at 31-32 longer than we thought it would. Trees have ice on em but “so far” I haven’t had a power outage or heard of any large outages here. Had the temp dropped a little lower - little quicker with all that rain… could’ve been real bad

North of Jackson. Hasn't really done anything here since it got light. Just a thin coating of ice.

Northern Humphreys Co this morning…
It’s 24f by my thermometer now , down from 25 f an hour ago.
Very little melting all day..
Mostly just on the elevated surfaces & trees, which some have started too bud..🥴

Here we are starting to get a few drizzles but you almost have to feel it on your skin to notice. We got about the same as everyone above, say about 1/8" in thickness, but surprisingly, none stuck on the driveway.
