I was searching a yard Monday evening... a lady comes out of the house wanting to look at my machine.. she had been thinking of buying one.. they were sharecroppers when she was growing up and she said she knew where there were some indian mounds.. I told her.. this doesnt pick up arrow heads.. ohh noo.. she said.. I was wanting to try and find some INDIAN MONEY!!!!.. I just smiled and kept searching...

do not laugh to much at her, I have found Indian Head pennies, an 1876 Carson City dime and other coins on mounds, in my area when the indians moved out the settlers moved onto the good campgrounds or hunting spots

not to hijack....

Would a regular metal detector work for finding metal/nails/staples in logs before milling?

if that is all you are wanting to do.. a wal mart "bounty hunter" will work
