Found a lonely mid day bird....

Been hearing and seeing all kinds of Toms around the house but havent had time to go. Finally today heard one getting frisky. He was about a 3/4 of mile away and i set uo about 300 yards from where i thought he was. He came quickly. Stoeger 20 semi auto and a load of federal 3rd degree tss on this one. Another gobbled when i shot lol.

Used to be that way from my porch too. I could listen to gobbling basically every day from early March to the end of June.

Now that's my kind of bird.....since I retired I've gotten used to sleeping later, so a lot of my hunting is for mid-day birds.
