My question sir is on your rigs your using for drifting minnows for smallies and spots,,,from the 1 picture on your previous post are ya'll using a 3-way?,,,it looks like a real long leader from swivel to sinker,,,could U please explain?,,,I have been trying this off and on for several years using the 3-way rig,,,a split-shot rig and just grubheads tipped with a minnow,,,man what works the best? HELP!

I've done it both ways... sometimes a 3-way rig. Sometimes just a split shot above a terminal hook. Which I like best really depends on structure and drift. If I'm in fairly deep water and fishing "vertical," I like the 3-way. Usually about 2 feet drop on lead leader... and only about 6 to 8 inches on hook leader.

But if it's shallow water or I'm casting, I prefer just a terminal hook and split shot. Always use the smallest split shot possible depending upon depth and flow.
