Fish Fry

We had ourselves a Memorial Day family fish fry on Lake Norman in NC. Have to say it's a good way to spend the weekend. The boys caught a mess of brim, shellcrackers, and channel cats. I caught a few too, but my main job on weekends like this is cleaning and frying. Had a meal for 11 of hush puppies, fish, slaw, and beans. One of my favorite summer time traditions.

yeah i miss the saturday fish fry/dinners. probably the best of my childhood memories. after papaw died everyone just drifted apart. i still try to do one when all the kids and grandkids come home or cook bbq.
