I vaguely remember seeing "something" about it but can't remember for sure.

its the same advisory thats in the fishing guide for the mouth of duck river to i-40. mercury in largemouth bass only. it seems their explanation is that the mercury is deposited into the big sandy from air vapors. they also said that large mouths are more prone to mercury in their flesh than other species.
