I have a Bear bow, but didnt take ti to the range in Hendersonviile Sunday, just my Hoyt.
Anyways, my buddy and his son both have Martin long bows, and he has been after me for not ever shooting mine, so he let me shoot his and see if I likes it.
"Shot At" a 15 yard taget, AND I NAILED IT
Yep I nailed the frame of the houseing the target was sittning in, and broke my Epic arrow right in half.
Maybe I need more practice.
Just thought yal would get a kick out of it.
Had fun though....

I can imagine it would take a few shots to figure out where the arrow is going to fly....

when I first started with a compound, I had trouble hitting the target and lost a few arrows in the woods :D Now, I can't imagine how I could miss the target with a compound. Still happens, but it's always a freak accident where I released too soon or something.

One of these days I will pick up a recurve and learn to shoot it. Not sure about a long bow... but have fun with yours, I hear it's not too hard to pick up the instinctive shooting with some practice

:D yep, nailed a few target frames myself.

when you get serious about it, start at about 5 yards then slowly work back.
