After a slow morning yesterday, I decided to go back to the river and fish the evening. Hooks in the water at 6:00 and it was slow, until it wasn't. Fished till 8:30 and nothing. Not even a bite. Then it was go time. From 8:30-10:00 it was non stop. Boated 9 and kept 8. 20 pound blue gets to live to fight another day. At one point I had one in the floor of the boat (still had hook in its mouth), reeling another in and one hooked up on another pole. It was hard to leave that kind of action but I'm at a minimum of two hours to get home. Iced the fish down and cleaned them this morning. @Spurhunter calls them slimy bottom feeders and @RUGER calls them mudfish, but I call them supper. Fun times.

Sounds like a fun evening, although I cringed when I read about the one in the bottom of the boat. You want to know how you get new carpet? That's how you get new carpet! Yes, I know, catfishermen don't have carpet, but I do.
No carpet, I am contemplating seadeck covering. That aluminum gets hot in the summer months.
