First buck since 2014

I've passed up bucks 3 times this size but if they aren't 4.5 I don't shoot. Killed this 4.5 year old we called turkey foot because he had a small drop tine on the end of his right main beam, unfortunately he broke it off, still a nice buck off our place in Hardeman County, he ran out in front of me while I was walking in then after the shot he ran down a 25 foot straight up and down ridge and died at the bottom.

Isn't it great to have a history with a particular buck?

I also haven't killed a buck since 2014 --- no regrets,
and plan to enjoy a little more hunting between now and season's end.
Well, actually, not sure how much I'm going to "enjoy" this cold weather.

Congratulations! That's a good buck regardless of what his rack will score. I'd have shot him without hesitation I can promise you. Sounds like he had one last chance for revenge on you and took it with that dive down the 25 foot drop off.
