Since my boys have showed interest in hunting this year, kind of inspired me to put in a little more effort and spend more time at the farm. All came together this morning, as 2 does came in field and this guy came in hot and heavy right on their tails pushing them.
2 funny side stories-- I've become a pansie and took my buddy heater and I turned it on about 10 min before deer in. I glassed them and saw big horns , grabbed rifle and it was so fogged from heater that I had to frantic wipe both ends twice and I still shot him in badly fogged scope.
2nd- loaded buck in tractor bucket when over hill to field dress. As I ride over hill on tractor I see deer in front of my blind and I dig in pack and grab spot scope. Steady it on steering wheel , and spot huge 10pt standing in exact spot in front of my blind where I just killed less than an hour ago. One of those hot does must have brought him in too. Watched him for at least 10 minutes.
