I finally got a little free time to finish cleaning and whitening the skull from the doe that I killed with my bow on PI last year. Decided to do something a little different by leaving the lower jaw in place. Shown on a barnwood display made from lumber salvaged from a collapsed barn at one of my hunting locations.

Just now saw this. It looks awesome! Were you on the doe hunt? I was there last year too and kilt a doe, but didn't save the head. I have the whole skull from one of the oldest does I have killed, that I shot in 2014 on public land. They are great to set on the shelf and a reminder that deer hunting is about more than just antlers.

Thanks, Catman.

I was there on the Dec buck hunt.

I was pretty fortunate in being able to punch both my tags.
I had the nine point that I killed mounted and wanted to do something that would also give recognition to the doe.
I'd played with the idea of doing a european of a doe and decided to try a full skull retaining the lower jaw in the display.
It along with the barn wood plaque turned out way better than I expected.
