This is great.
I guess you gotta be into duck hunting to like the show.Because I can't make myself watch it.

I have been duck hunting once in my life and I love the show.
Just nice to be able to sit and watch something clean for a change.

My 8 year old cracked up when Si told Godwin to bend down and act like a panther and lick his left shoulder. Lol! Sure is nice to have your kids come in and sit down and watch the show with Mom and Dad and really enjoy it and laugh at it and not have to worry about anything bad on the show. My son loves the show and we enjoy watching it together. There's some really good messages to be had through the show that I can easily explain to my 8 year old, and he can still laugh and enjoy the heck out of the show at the same time.

When eight year olds get a big kick out of watching a show, that pretty much tells you what the intellectual level is. Having said that, I have watched it and laughed, but like all of these scripted reality shows, it wears thin quickly.

It is actually the number one 'UN-SCRIPTED' show on TV.

If a 8 year can understand it. That makes there message plain and simple.Has nothing to do with intelligence.Scripted I don't think so. Staged, for the camera's, exaggerated for entertainment. I don't doubt that at least part of it are things that have happened in their lives.I reckon that's why they call it entertainment.

The show has very little about actual duck hunting.Mostly just good old boys just having a good time.

Certainly staged and scripted. Funny- absolutely. Ends with a prayer and a family meal instead of celebrating a dysfunctional "family". Love it.

I don't classify it as a reality show but more like along the lines of The Andy Griffin Show and All In The Family. One of the few shows that I still watch the reruns several times and still get a laugh every time. Don't care if it's scripted or not, still one of the best shows on TV these days.
