The problem doesn't lie with facebook, it lies with people, just like everything in this world.
Facebook is no different than any other website out there now.
People do what people are gonna do, whether they are on facebook, win the lottery or whatever.
IMHO blaming facebook for pretty much anything is closely related to spoons making people fat.

Facebook just gave people a platform and exposed the issues in the world. Not saying it hasn't negatively contributed to alot of issues, but it's not Facebook's fault people suck anymore than it is Ruger's for creating Tndeer.

I like how tndeer is set up. No profanity, no dirty talk, not set for gossip, etc...
It's also set up to be civil.
This place doesn't draw in a bunch of people that just want to go around making others mad.
It is really like a true campfire. Just hanging out.
We need to protect what we have and preserve it for others.

Facebook is fantastic, when/if used intelligently... LOTS of opportunity for businesses to openly communicate with current and future customers, lots of opportunity to see what non-members are doing in terms of hunting results etc. LOTS of Christian based pages, hunting pages, fishing pages and prayer threads among friends and SO easy to block out anything you prefer not to see. I enjoy it myself.

yeah, but add a billion members with little to no moderation and see what happens.

I use facebook to keep in touch with former classmates. I have a few customers that use messenger with me. If somebody posts something that is inappropriate, I question whether they should stay on my list. If something else pops up, they are gone. I also purge people that I don't know well. Nothing personal, just preference.

It hilarious all the people that hate Facebook. Not saying anyone on here, but most always start with “toomuch drama”. My reply is no, YOU have the control to see as much or as little drama as you so choose. It’s a great marketing and advertising tool. There are so many news, weather, hunting, fishing, sports and farming pages that most of the time, I know more about the news, weather and sports, that’s the television is redundant.
Hell, I got several buddies that got tired of the bull rap and friend requests, they closed their account and created a new one with a made up name. They still get all the info from the pages they follow, but no one knows who they are. Haha
