he was moving mighty fast, regardless of the call he was going to.
not sure if firing him was the resolution, but guess is satisfied somebody

Yeah, a lot of cops like to think that their job is important enough to endanger other people's lives and don't use common sense. Then they act as if somebody they catch speeding is a reckless lunatic. Sure he was responding to a potential life threatening call but driving at 117mph had the very real risk of causing a lot more fatal injuries and in this case almost did!

117 is a good cruising speed. About 15 more mph and that's when the steering wheel starts getting the death rattle vibrations.
