Dang destructive BEAR

OK, so I got the cams put out Saturday, had over 400 photos so far, mostly does but a couple NICE bucks.
They don't usually start showing up on these sites till September.
Everything going great, then these guys show up.

First pic is a little bitty yearling doe, just for size comparison.

So, he looks like a cub to me.

A bit later, THIS happens--

Finally, looks like a bigger bear (mom maybe?) sneaking off...

I'm betting a sow with cubs found my corn pile, and somehow found the camera, and smacked it.

It's still functioning, just skewed to the side.

This is in North Alabama not far from Bridgeport.
First bear we've ever seen up there, none of the other guys have either.

Dang bears.

That stinks, probably doesn't help much with deer continuing to use the area regularly. At least they didn't tear up your camera.

Yep, anything you leave in the woods is subject to be destroyed. One came into my yard a couple weeks ago and bit a hole in my gas can. I picked it up and saw that and screamed at the wood line COME ON!! Gas is almost $4 a gallon

Well it's official--we have at least one sow with 2 cubs following her around.
Several other guys have them on cameras up to a mile apart.

A few years ago, I got to one of my cameras and found it on the ground. The strap wasn't broken, just pulled away from the tree. There were several holes in the camera the size of a 22 bullet. But the SD card was still in it, I thought it odd someone had destroyed it, left it there, and left the card. The last pic it took was a bear coming towards it. Hmmm???

They like stands to. They climb up in them and rip the seats out of their way and then bend the frames every direction. Then they take a huge crap at the bottom.

Bears are the main reason I use lock boxes and do not use corn. Once they find a corn pile or feeder, they won't go far.
