Which model are you talking about specifically? My daughter killed her first deer with a 527 lux in 223. I've also had a varmint laminate in 223. Excellent rifles. The set trigger is awesome.

Awesome rifle. I had americans in 222 and 6.5 grendel. Only thing I don't care for...that magazine. Jabs you in the back when slung. If they made a flush fit, it would be perfect.

I have a 527 Carbine in 7.62x39 and enjoy hunting with it a lot in woods. The magazine is the only negative really. It's right where your hand needs to be to carry it in one hand. I don't see why CZ can't see that American rifles aren't built with hanging magazines like that.

The only rifle sling that I'll ever use in this life is the Safari Sling that keeps the weapon in front, across the body and ready for use. Maybe the nag won't be an issue and I'll also check on the flush mount mag.
I do believe the Nosler 70 grain Accubond will stabilize in a 1:9 twist.
I don't have any .224 projectiles over 55gr at the moment. Maybe I can do some trading for some heavier boolits. I have some 6.5 Nosler Partition 140gr that I'll never load.

I've shot a crap load of 69smk and 70 Berger vlds and 75 Hornady bthp from my 527v 9 twist and it shoots lights out. Quart oil cans or one pound powder cans at 500 yards is routine

it won't shoot the 75 Amax or 75 vld

I have the youth carbine model with the 16 in barrel and it shoots 62gr bullets just fine.
