I might be meeting up with a buddy from middle TN to fish the Cumberland for smallmouth on Friday. My buddy has fished it couple times, but has had limited success. I plan on throwing some cranks and working some soft plastics in the current, if there is any. Any help on what colors work best would be appreciated.

There is still a whole lotta water moving down the river.....might be tough ! Im waiting on 12k cfs before i will even attempt fishing the river, but thats here in nashville

Might suggest the harpeth, stones river etc depending on what area y'all will be in.... I've caught a good smallie trolling but when the water was low in the summer. I haven't even fished it when this much water is moving, I stick to the smaller streams and they are full of smallmouth.
