Credit Score Question

Totaled my car yesterday and now I have to get another ASAP. I took a hard lick and the air bags and seatbelt did their job and no one involved was injured, so I'm most thankful for that. The rest is just stuff that can be replaced.

I haven't had a vehicle payment in 6 years, but I'm going to have to partially finance this one. My question is what company/site do some of you recommend I use to check my credit score? I need to check it for any possible surprises before a lender runs it. Thanks.

Not trying to hi jack this thread. But wondering if you use a credit check place online does it put a hit on your credit for just checking it?

From what I've read online (and we all know how accurate that info can be), it's ok to check it, but if you start using multiple agencies to check it, each time you check it, it lowers your score.

doing it on line is what is considered a Soft credit check, this does not go on your credit score,
if you have it done by bank or credit agency, then it will as they dont do the soft check

You can check it daily yourself and it will not affect it,if you have it checked by a bank or through a car dealer it will change it some,it can be pulled several times when you go through the dealership for financing,as long as they are pulled within a 3-5 day time period,it will normally on count as 1 hit on your credit score, that is how it was explained to me by Equifax.

I check mine 3 to 4 times a year with no hit on my credit score.Ive had the bank check it and it shows up as a Credit Enquiry. So I guess if you check it nothing,If someone else does it shows up I guess.
