Just checked my camera for the last time before the season starts. What do y'all think?

Very cool rack. Looks like the result of pedicle damage.
Agreed.

Wonder why some bucks grow less bone on the injured pedicle while others grow more bone from an injured pedicle? I'm sure it has something to do with either increased or decreased blood supply to the affected pedicle. Maybe like some humans form a keloid in a scar.

I've also seen some research that suggests antler growth and shape changes over time after pedicle damage. In essence, the buck will grow more of a spike or cluster of spikes the the longer he's had the damage in place.

Great. Hopefully he will shed the fuzz before season starts. Do you have any history with him?
I don't. I'm new to hunting (2nd year) and I finally invested in some cameras. He's my first ever target buck. He's still in his bachelor group. I hoping he stays on the property for the season. If he leaves I'm hoping his buddy stays around.
